Week 6

The Boston won all three of there games. they are on a five game winning streak. They are starting to play like a team now. I think they will keep it up for rest of the season. they had scored 18 goals against there opponents. There opponents only scored 7 goals on them. They played the best week so far this season. They didn't turn the puck over much and they converted on alot of plays when they had the puck.

They have a good chance to return again to win the cup. If they keep playing as a team. They will make a deep run into the playoffs. They are fourth in there division but they are moving up in it. They are 23 in the league after a very good week. They will keep moving up in the league if they play as one team. They have scored 30 goals in the last 5 games.

week 5

Boston won both there games this week. They beat the Senators 5-3 and shut out the Toronto Maple Leafs. Boston outshot ottawa 41-26 and shut down the number one power play team. They end the Senators 6 game winning streak. The whole team came out and played as one. Tim Thomas stopped 23 of 26 shots of the night. Ottawa coach said, "I think the Stanley Cup champions showed up and they decided they wanted to play. They were determined to win, and the solutions that we had for them weren't working."

The Maple leafs have had a good start to there season but that cant beat the bruins. Tyler Sequin scored his first hat trick and Tim Thomas had his first shutout of the season. it was a big night for the Bruins. Boston finished the night 1 for 2 on the power play, while Toronto was 0 for 3 on the night. They play three games next. They play the Islanders which are near the bottom of the Eastern Confernce. Then there next game is against the Edmonton Oilers. There are coming off a big win against the Coyotes. Then they play the Buffalo Sabres. they are second in there division. They are a head of the Boston Bruins but I think they will beat them.

week 4

They had a rough week. they lost twice to the Canadiens. They lost 2-4 and 2-1. This was there first time meeting since the playoffs. The Boston Bruins beat them in the seventh game in overtime. The Bruins didnt come out ready to play. They werent playing as a team. they had costly turnovers. They need to stop turnind it over and score more.

This week they play the Senators and toronto Maple Leafs. Both of these games are a must win if they wanna repeat as champs. In pre-season they lost to the Senators in a shootout. They have beat Toronto twice by a alot of goals. But they better put them games behind them and come out ready to win and get back on track

Week 3

On the 18 they played the Hurricanes and lost 4-1. they could never get anything going until late into the third period. they had alot of mistakes through out the whole game. during the second and third period they had 17 penalities. Then two days later they won against the Toronto Maple Leafs. This was the best offensive game they have played all year. They broke there 4 game losing streak.

They play the Canadiens twice next week. They played them during the pre-season and beat them twice. They should beat them with-out a probably. If they can all play together they will go in there and win. If they dont get so many penalities they will be fine.

Week 2

The Bruins won again against the Chicago Blackhawks. They won in a shoot-out. The final score was 3-2. Claude Julien had his 300th win. Tim Thomas stop 27 shots through overtime. As the game went on they started playing more like a team. They got it together and won. Corey Crawford had 38 saves in the loss. They are 0-20 on power plays. I think if they want to keep winning they are going to have to convert on there power plays.

Next week they play th e Hurricanes. the Hurricanes are on a four game winning streak. It will be a close game. They lost to them already but it was only by one goal. I believe the bruins will pick it up and win this one. They need to if they want to repeat as champions.

Bruins week one

They lost against the Flyers 2-1. Ilya Bryzgalov made 22 saves in his first game for the Flyers . the Bruins eliminated them during the playoffs last season. Brad Marchand got a pass from Seguin to give the Boston a 1-0 lead. It was the first goal in the NHL this season; Marchand also scored the last goal in the NHL last season, an empty-netter against Vancouver in Game 7 of the finals.
The Boston Bruins won 4-1. they are 1-1 on the season so far. There are playing a game right now against the Avalanches. Tim Thomas had 25 saves for the Bruins. The Lightning goalie stop 38 shots. The key is to get more shots on the goalie and put more pressure on him. They did a good job of that. Boston went into this game wanting to get on the right direction and start there team off on the right direction.

Bruins vs Islanders

The Boston Bruins won again!!! That was their last pre-season game. I think they ended on a good game. They came out and played sloppy the first period. They were down 2 goals going into the second period. They started playing together and scored 2 goals within 85 seconds. it was all tied up. there was 8459 people at the game. It was a record for the most people at the hockey game at the 10-year-old Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. Tim Johnson had 25 saves for the Bruins. Al Montoya stopped all his 14 shots but was replaced in the second period by Nabokov who let three goals in.
There first game of the season is this Thursday against the Flyer's. I think they will win this came because they are ready to play the real game. These games actually matter to them more. B. Marchand and T. Seguin each had 2 goals apeice and 13 other guys had one goal. This is a good start just for preseason.
